In addition to honors courses, Octavia E. Butler Magnet is proud to offer Math Academy. Math Academy is a program that radically accelerates the math curriculum for Octavia E. Butler Magnet's gifted math students. The courses begin in 6th grade with students completing calculus by the end of 8th grade and a variety of undergraduate college level math courses during high school. These courses are open to 6th through 8th grade students who meet eligibility qualifications.
